Satawal:

The solitary island of Satawal is located within the far eastern reaches of Yap State — only the small island of Pikelot, 104 km to the northeast, is farther eastwards. Satawal's closest neighbour is Lamotrek atoll, located 70 km to the west.

Image Satawal he island of Satawal (shown above in false-colour with vegetation cover in greyscale) is a low, flat coral formation measuring 2 km in length (northeast to southwest) and up to 800 m in width; the island has an area of 1.3 km˛. The island sits atop a small platform-like reef with a narrow fringing reef surrounding the entire island. From the eastern tip of the island a shallow reef extends for a distance of 1 km. Built from coral sands, rubble and boulders the island is thickly wooded with coconut palm (Cocos nucifera), tall breadfruit trees (Artocarpus altilis) and small patches of atoll scrub.

Diano M. Rougmal (born January 21, 1978 Faeinen Satawal, Yap State) was sworn in as the second satawalese to join US Military on January 8, 1992. Prior to him becoming US Military, Rougmal Diano served over three years with the Xavier High School as a teacher in Chuuk state. Most recently, and prior to becoming US Military, he was the thirth satawalese to attent the school of priest in Guam. His duties had him involved in international and regional studies including delivering top secrets at the United Nations and the South Pacific toops in Hawaii. He also served as the US Military under cover of the Department of Defense Affairs.read more

Jaywin Ifelbuch:

Jaywin I. Ifelbuch (born December 3, 1983 Welbuguw Woleai, Yap State) was sworn in as the sixth Satawalese to join US Military on January 8, 2008. Ifelbuch Jaywin prior to becoming the US Military, he served as an acting nurse at the College of Micronesia dispensary. He join also various medical training and including serving as the Director of the life campus. Jaywin Ifelbuch is resides in Wisconsion.
